Authentication

Authentication with Zapier works through the use and management of API keys as it leverages the RESTful API mentioned in the other sections

A matteroTM admin for your organisation can create and manage these keys from the system settings page for the API keys. By click on the highlight button in the image below a new key can be generated for use with Zapier, this key is private key only disclosed during the creation step of the key, this should be stored safely for use on your organisation's end.

Once you have successfully created an API key, when you create your first Zap that uses an action step or trigger step, you will be prompted to log in with this API key. If everything works Zapier will accept your API key without any error messages or warnings and you'll be on your way to creating a Zap for matteroTM.
